На всей батарее в соответствии с требованиями интернациональных эталонов должна быть маркировка, содержащая информацию о ее напряжении, номинальной емкости, назначении и конструктивном исполнении.
1. Маркировка отечественных АКБ, наносимая в соответствии с требованиями ГОСТ 959-91.
Она выполняется по схеме:«6 СТ-60 А1»
- Цифра, указывает на число ступенчато объединенных аккумуляторов в батарее (6 либо 3), характеризующая её номинальное напряжение (12 либо 6 В соответственно).
- Буквы, характеризующие предназначение аккумуляторной батареи по функциональному знаку (СТ - стартерная).
- Число, указывающее номинальную емкость аккумуляторной батареи в ампер-часах (А·ч).
- Буквы либо цифры, которые содержат дополнительную информацию об исполнении аккумуляторной батареи (при необходимости) и материалах, примененных для её производства, скажем: «А» - с всеобщей крышкой, буква «3» - залитая и целиком заряженная (если ее нет - батарея сухозаряженная), слово «необслуживаемая» - для аккумуляторных батарей, соответствующих требованию ГОСТ по расходу влаги, «Э» - корпус-моноблок из эбонита, «Т» - моноблок из термопластичной пластмассы, «М» - сепаратор типа мипласт из поливинилхлорида, «П» - сепаратор-конверт из полиэтилена.
Скажем, условное обозначение аккумуляторной батареи «6СТ-60А1» указывает, что батарея состоит из шести аккумуляторов, объединенных ступенчато.
Следовательно, ее номинальное напряжение - 12 В.
По своему назначению батарея стартерная, ее номинальная емкость - 60 А·ч при 20-часовом режиме разряда.
Батарея изготовлена в моноблоке с всеобщей крышкой в сухозаряженном исполнении.
После условного обозначения автомобильных аккумуляторов, предуготовленных для внутреннего рынка, указывают обозначение технических условий на батарею определенного типа, а аккумуляторных батарей, предуготовленных на экспорт - обозначение ГОСТ 959-91.
Сплав, из которого изготовлены токоотводы и электроды, изредка указывают в рекламных целях.
Условное обозначение аккумуляторных батарей, применяемое множеством европейских изготовителей, представляет собой пятизначный код по немецкому эталону DIN (скажем 560 19) либо девятизначный код по интернациональному эталону ETN (скажем 560 059 042).
В структуре кодов как по DIN, так и по ETN, значение первых 3-х цифр идентично.
Они показывают номинальную емкость и напряжение аккумуляторной батареи.
Для 6-вольтовых автомобильных аккумуляторов 1-ые 3 цифры (от 001 до 499) представляют собой номинальную емкость в ампер-часах.
Для особенно распространенных 12-вольтовых АКБ номинальную емкость дозволено получить, вычитая 500 из трехзначного числа (от 501 до 799).

Число из 3-х последних цифр в обозначении по ETN составляет 0,1 от величины электричества холодной прокрутки по EN.
Для приведенного выше примера электричество холодной прокрутки равен:
I = 042 10 10 = 420 А.
Для сопоставительного пересчета величины электричества по EN в DIN используют показатель 1,7:
IEN = 1,7 · IDIN
Заокеанские изготовители формируют условное обозначение в соответствии с требованиями эталона SAE (США).
Обозначение состоит из номера типоразмерной компании и электричества холодной прокрутки при ?18°C.
Скажем, батарея типа A24410 относится к типоразмерной группе 24 (260?173x225 миллиметров) а ее электричество холодной прокрутки по методике SAE равен 410 А при ?18°C.
Помимо вышеуказанных обозначений маркировка аккумуляторной батареи должна содержать следующие данные:
- товарный знак завода-производителя;
- 60 Аh - номинальная емкость в Ампер-часах (А·ч либо Ah);
- 420 А - пусковой электричество - электричество холодной прокрутки при ?18°C в Амперах (А);
- 12 V - номинальное напряжение в Вольтах (В либо V);
- 0901 - дата производства (2 цифры - месяц, 2 цифры - г. производства);
- 20 kg - масса аккумуляторной батареи в состоянии поставки с завода;
- «+» и «?» - знаки полярности;
- предупреждающие знаки, скажем: небезопасно-опасное вещество, не курить, не кантовать, не давать детям и т.п.;
- ярус залитого электролита (min, max либо другие обозначения предельных ярусов).
Каждая маркировка, предусмотренная требованиями эталонов, наносится на корпус либо крышку аккумуляторной батареи одним из 2-х способов:
- шелкография, то есть нанесение краски по особому трафарету;
- самоклеющиеся этикетки.
В обоих случаях маркировка должна быть отчетливой и крепкой при воздействии на нее воды и аэрозолей электролита и сохраняться в течение всего срока эксплуатации аккумуляторной батареи.
